ETC655 A3 Network Training Session Reflection from Day 1 sessions
We have completed our Day 1's three sessions. We had excellent sessions. They were very informative, interactive, engaging, and fun. Don't miss our Thursday sessions. If your group is presenting on Thursday, here are some notes for you to improve your sessions.
· Be sure you log on BBLearn Collaborate Ultra session 10 minutes before your session; therefore, you have ample time to get your session ready.
· Rehearse your session to ensure you are familiar with all tools and features. In addition, you have better ideas what issues you may run into and how you may resolve these issues.
· When not using microphone, de-select the talk button to avoid any echo.
· Avoid talking too fast because some audiences may have slower Internet connection and they may not hear us clearly if we talk too fast.
· If possible, using a headset with microphone but not required.
· Engage your audiences in participating your training activities. Your session would be more interactive. Avoid lecturing entire session.
· Integrate video clips is a great ideas. Perhaps we can allow our audiences to watch them after the session since we only have 30 minutes to deliver our session.
· Polling is great way to engage your audiences.
· Put the web links in the chat room, such as your training sites, the survey etc. so the audiences can click it easily.
· Have one teammate to moderate the chat room area since frequently there are some questions and conversations asked in the chat room area.
· Be sure to change the survey permission to all since we have many participants don't have NAU accounts.
· Go through the chat message after the session and answer the questions asked by the audiences if you did not have time to answer them during the sessions.
· Remind the audiences to leave the room so the recording can be finalized.
Remember, all students are required at least ONE live session.
I am looking forward for your great session on Thursday.
Regards,
Chih
