ETC655: Lesson 1: Instructor’s Notes

Dear ETC655 students,

I hope your first week is going well.  It is great to know we most of you are completing our required tasks.  Here is a quick checklist to help you to wrap up Lesson 1.

• DUE: Sunday, 10/27/2019
• Assignment 1: PLE Management
• Join a group.
• Post self-Introduction.
• Lesson 2 Reading: We have heavier reading than ETC645.  Complete your reading before the lesson starts.

o   Get a head start on lesson discussion reading.

o   Lesson 2 and 4 have fairly heavy readings.

Group Task

Has your group started planning your group tasks?  We have many group tasks that require us to have good communication, coordination, planning, design, and development.  Previous ETC655 students highly recommended that the groups should get together as early as possible to plan the group work to result more effective and efficient learning in ETC655.  Here are the required group tasks:

·         Due: Lesson 3

o   All Groups sign up for: Assignment 3: Network Technology Training sessions

·         Assignment 3: Open Network Technology Training (Lesson 5)

·         Assignment 4: Final Project: The Development of an OER Textbook (Lesson 7)

·         Group Lesson Moderation is OPTIONAL.

Get your group members together ASAP and start planning! Your group can use any technology to coordinate your group work.
