A3 Network training notes
Are you ready for Assignment 3 Network Training? Here are a few notes for you to prepare your network training session. This is a great way for us to conduct online professional development (PD) and share our knowledge and skills with the community.
· Where: ETC Community BBCollaborate which is different from your own group's BBCollaborate. All participants signed in are granted with moderator privilege.:
- I will participate in and facilitate your live training sessions with others. Currently, I am in Asia and giving a few talks in relating to my newest published book. I set my time on the side so I should be able to participate all 7 sessions.
- I will record the session unless specified.
- Generally, I, as a facilitator, will introduce your session and will not interrupt your session unless necessary.
- It is a training session not just a presentation. Be sure to apply effective ONLE instructional strategies to engage the audiences rather than just presenting the content (selected web 2.0 tool).
- Some ETC students may participate in our training sessions live but many will watch your recorded sessions. So when we conduct our training session, remember we have off-line audiences.
- If necessary, be sure to rehearse your session so you have better understanding in using different features of BBCollaborate and ensure all technologies work seamlessly, particularly the audio.
- When presenting, be sure you have a quite surrounding without any interference, such as background noise, phone ringing, dog barking, and people talking etc.
- Between each group's sessions, all participants have to sign off before a new session starts so the recorded session can be finalized.
- Each student must attend at least one training session provided by other groups.
- Participating more than one session is highly encouraged. In the past, most students participate 3 sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about ONLE technologies and integration from the peers. Even we may know the technology, but the presenting groups may have different ideas and integration design to share with us.
