ETC655 A1 Common Feedback

Here is the common feedback for our Assignment.  Read it carefully to help you to prepare our course instructions and upcoming assignments.

I know many of us felt overwhelmed by creating multiple accounts. This is not uncommon since we are not used to PLE/ONLE instructional designs. Don't get discouraged! During the progress of our course, you should have a better understanding and will develop better skills to "manage" multiple leaning tools. In PLE, the process of self-directed learning requires a degree of self-awareness. Many of us may have never taken the time to think about their own meta-cognition or to reflect on how we learn best. We need to make sure we are ready for the responsibility that comes with building and managing a PLE. I encourage you to apply your PLE platforms to manage various Web 2.0 tool to maintain your people networks, tool/technology networks, and learning resource networks so you do not need to visit all Web 2.0 tools to know what are happening in each tool and network.

Below are a few tips for you to advance your PLE.

PLE

·       When accessing ETC655, access your PLE rather than BBLearn or other websites.

·       Setup it as your home page/screen so you can have an overview on our class activities when access your computer or mobile devices.

·       Use multiple tabs/Screens/Pages to organize your gadgets.

·       If you don't use, manage, and organize your PLE, you may feel overwhelmed by the multiple tools, and networks.

PLE Diagram

I noticed that there are a few types of diagrams our classmates' applied. PLE diagrams represent our thinking and management of our PLE and give us visual prospective to see our own people networks, tool/technology networks, and resource networks in ONLE. Which category/type your diagram belong to? Does it represent your thinking & learning management? What does it mean to us? Let's discuss in Lesson 1.
